A recent survey of 2,000 motorists has revealed that only two per cent of those that own an electric vehicle have access to a dedicated charging point at home. While a further 30 per cent would need to travel up to 10 miles to use a public charging point[1], despite the number of drivers registering for ‘plug-in’ cars increasing by more than 130,000 between 2013 and 2018[2].
