Investment in the future workforce of the housebuilding industry is incredibly important for the sector. Responding to the current skills shortage and providing opportunities to drive up the standards of quality and customer service, Spitfire Bespoke Homes has launched their own in-house Sales Academy to attract, recruit and train new talent into the sector.
The Sales Academy has generated ten brand members of staff, and this exiting milestone marks the first time directly employed sales consultants have been on Spitfire sites. Recently, a graduation ceremony was held for all of the newly-qualified sales team to recognise their achievement and welcome them to the company.
Adam Wilkins, one of the graduate from Spitfire’s Sales Academy, comments: “I was blown away by the opportunity to join the Spitfire Sales Academy. It is certainly clear everyone at Spitfire is equally passionate and ambitious and this shows through their investment in an in-house sales team driving the business from the front. The training was a four-week course in which Spitfire lined up Directors, internal department specific employees and external trainers to ensure that we were fully equipped for the role. This was an impressive course; I feel as though nothing was missed and just like with the houses Spitfire build, every detail was covered. I am very proud to now be part of an exciting business, joining a leading niche housebuilder like Spitfire.”

The four-week intensive Sales Academy followed a diverse programme and induction to all areas of the business disciplines and processes, from land acquisition through to customer care, CSCS health & safety test and NHBC exam, providing a sound understanding and knowledge to the role, business and sector. Many of the training sessions were delivered internally by Spitfire management and the programme included on-site work experience, in order to fully equip staff for the job.
Spitfire currently has offices in in Coleshill, Warwickshire, and Maidenhead in Berkshire. The new sales staff will be on hand at a selection of Spitfire’s current and forthcoming developments. Current locations include Broadway, Warwick, Royal Leamington Spa, Windsor and Gerrards Cross.
