COVID-19: An update

Throughout the current Coronoavirus pandemic, Spitfire Bespoke Homes continues to monitor the situation on a daily basis. The safety of our customers, staff and suppliers remains paramount and we will continue to follow the guidelines and advice of Government and the World Health Organisation.

After a period of closure across most of our sites, from Monday 27th April we will begin to re-commence construction work at select projects. Our teams will follow Construction Leadership Council (CLC) guidelines, and we expect to see limited levels of activity initially. This gradual return to previous operating levels will allow Spitfire Bespoke Homes, in tandem with our supply chain, to implement the necessary working practices to ensure a safe, controlled and co-ordinated return to production.

This decision reflects official Government advice that construction work may continue at this time, despite the current restrictions that are in place across society. The re-opening of these sites allows us to progress these projects, helping to minimise delays for our customers. In order to proceed with construction in a safe and responsible manner, we will be working closely with our partners and suppliers to ensure that social distancing is strictly adhered to at all times.

Our sales offices and head office remain closed at this time.

Customers

Visiting sales offices & show homes

All sales offices and show homes are currently closed to ensure the safety of our customers and staff. For information regarding any of our properties, please refer to our New Homes Collection. If you wish to make a specific enquiry, you can do so through the site webpage, or by submitting a form on our Contact page.

Existing customers

For customers scheduled to complete on the purchase of a new home, we will contact you shortly to provide an update on the situation and discuss a route forwards.

If you are currently within your 2-year Homeowner Warranty and have an issue with your home which requires our attention, please be aware that for the safety of both our customers and our staff we will not be attending to any non-emergency items at this time. If you do have an emergency issue regarding your property, we will still attend to these appointments. This measure is in line with social distancing guidelines and we thank you for your understanding.

You can still report non-emergency issues via our website, and these items will be reviewed and prioritised by our Customer Care team for resolution once the current Government restrictions have been lifted.

If you have an appointment scheduled to attend to an emergency item, but you are currently self-isolating then it is imperative that you inform us of this in advance, so we can rearrange.

Staff

Office-based employees

For the foreseeable future, our office-based staff will work from home. We have a number of measures in place to ensure that home working is both practical and effective. Operations may be limited slightly, however staff will continue to work remotely, utilising technology to fulfil their roles.

Our Solihull office, The Gate, will be closed until further notice. If you have a meeting scheduled, please contact the organiser for alternative arrangements.

Suppliers and subcontractors

We will continue to work closely with suppliers and subcontractors during this difficult time.

We recognise that these are testing times for all businesses and as on-site production is limited, and we will be in regular communication with our supply chain to manage the situation and ensure that Government guidelines around social distancing are observed.

In these unprecedented times we hope you remain safe and healthy and we thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue to work through the challenges surrounding COVID-19.
