HIGH DEMAND FOR NEW HOMES IN AREAS OF OUTSTANDING NATURAL BEAUTY

July 2017

Thanks to their stunning rural surroundings, homes in Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty are always popular. Recent research from Knight Frank has revealed that properties in these areas are statistically of greater than average value[1], with demand vastly outstripping supply. Offering the height of elegant countryside living in the UK’s largest Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Spitfire Bespoke Homes have just four properties remaining at The Mill and Crossways, two of the developments in their sought-after Cotswold Collection.

Both developments enjoy prime positions in picturesque Gloucestershire market towns. The Mill, situated in Chipping Campden, and Crossways, in Stow-on-the Wold, have been built using the finest locally sourced materials and thoughtfully designed in the distinctive Cotswold style, harmonising with their historical surroundings. The new homes combine these traditional exteriors with an outstanding internal specification, for a luxurious and authentic finish.

Located in the heart of one of the oldest towns in the Cotswolds, Crossways is a unique development of just 20 two and three-bedroom properties, meticulously crafted to reflect the distinctive character of the local area. Meanwhile, the 11 four and five-bedroom homes at The Mill are laid out around a traditional village green, just moments away from Chipping Campden town centre.

Mark Johnson of Knight Frank comments: “Proving exceedingly popular with buyers, the Cotswolds benefits from beautiful rural surroundings while offering fantastic amenities, so it’s no wonder that new homes in these Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty are in high demand. Both the Mill and Crossways offer prospective home buyers the rare chance to purchase a new build home in this stunning area, which Spitfire has expertly crafted to strike the perfect balance between traditional style and modern flare.”

The last three and four bedroom houses at Crossways have been designed with modern living in mind, whilst being located in a traditional environment. In the three bedroom home, the ground floor features a spacious open-plan kitchen/dining area, a separate living room and a utility room. The master bedroom features a luxurious en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom also has access to an en suite, and the third double bedroom shares the well-appointed family bathroom. All bedrooms feature fitted wardrobes.

The last four and five-bedroom properties available at The Mill are spacious and stylish. In the four bedroom house, the large open plan kitchen/breakfast area features a practical utility room, easily supporting family life. The separate living area creates a space for relaxation, whilst the formal dining room offers space for entertaining. This level also features a study, as well as a double garage. Upstairs, three well-appointed bedrooms share the family bathroom, whilst the remaining double bedroom, and impressive master bedroom both have access to en suite bathrooms.

All of the homes benefit from Spitfire’s signature internal specification, with kitchens featuring hand finished oak units, quartz worktops and Siemens integrated appliances. Meanwhile, the bathrooms are fitted with classic white sanitary ware by Villeroy and Boch, high-quality polished chrome fittings by Hansgrohe, and finished with ceramic tiling throughout.

Chipping Campden and Stow on the Wold are both traditional market towns steeped in history, offering the epitome of sophisticated country living. Characterised by classic Cotswold honey-coloured limestone buildings, these market towns offer an abundance of fashionable restaurants, cafés and pubs nestled amongst charming lanes. An appealing collection of independent shops and boutiques are ripe for exploration, alongside access to fresh local produce at regular farmers markets.

Both The Mill and Crossways are ideally located just fifteen minutes away from Moreton-in-Marsh train station, offering frequent and direct services to London’s Paddington Station in under two hours. Birmingham airport is also located just under an hour’s drive away, providing easy access to travel further afield.

At The Mill, the four-bedroom home is available for £735,000, and the five-bedroom home is priced at £950,000. At Crossways, the last two remaining properties start at £640,000 for a three-bedroom home. Find out more about The Mill and Crossways or contact selling agents Knight Frank on Tel: 01789 206967.
